Your customers will have buyer’s remorse. They will wonder why they brought your product. They will consider returning it for a refund.
Your customers are full of doubt. But they don’t need to be.
You can dispel their doubts and concerns through a simple, yet powerful tactic.
Reassure customers that the made the right decision. Tell them they made a great purchase. Highlight that the product is a perfect fit for their situation and needs.
A few weeks ago, I signed up for the Dollar Shave Club. When I received the package in the mail, the company did a great job reassuring me that I had made a good decision:
In addition to my razors, the package had some reinforcing messaging. Does your product include any reassurances? Or is it just the product and maybe some instructions?
This first card from my example focuses on reassuring the customer that he made the best choice. You can’t help but feel great after reading this card:
Congrats on making the best decision you’ve made in a long time.
The second message focuses on praising the customer in context of the product. It never hurts to pile praise on people:
You’re a winner. And winners shave with fresh blades.
